Registration

Only authors may register for PLEA 2020 online Conference via ConfTool online registration system

NOTE: Due to the Covid -19 pandemic and the transition as online conference, the fees for PLEA 2020 Conference have been reduced to 120€ per paper (flat fee). This is expected to cover the expenses already assumed by the organizing team in the preparation and adaptation to the new format.

Registration Guidelines Summary

  • Kindly note that PLEA 2020 requires that one of the authors must pay a registration fee by the 20th of August for each paper to be included in the proceedings. Failure to register will result in automatic withdrawal of the submission from the conference proceedings and programme.

.

  • Each paper requires one registration at a flat fee of 120€

  • If a paper has more than one author, only one of them shall proceed with the registration. The registration fee for each paper covers that paper, regardless of the number of authors. It is up to the authors to decide how they split the registration cost; however, the registration process has to be done by one of the authors only. However, the rest of co-authors will enjoy the same access to the online conference.

  • To ensure fair access, each participant can register up to 3 papers. Equally, each participant may appear as main/corresponding author in a maximum of 3 papers. There is no limit for co-authors.

  • The author, by submitting a paper for the conference, is guaranteeing that the work submitted is original and has not been previously published.

  • Registration can be paid by PayPal or bank transfer. Go to conftool.org/plea2020 to complete the registration for your paper

Cancellation Policy

  • Fees, minus a 20% administration fee, will be returned if cancellations occur before the 21st of August 2020

  • Notification of cancellation must be made in writing on or before 23:59 pm, 21 Aug 2020 (A Coruña local time) by emailing plea2020@plea2020.org.

  • Participants who do not cancel as indicated in the previous point will not be eligible for refund. Cancelled papers will not be presented or published in the Proceedings.

  • In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the Conference Organisers, such as war, strikes, natural disasters, weather conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of the Conference Organisers, the Conference Organisers cannot be held liable by participants for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, financial losses, etc. Under these circumstances, the Conference Organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future conference, or to reimburse the participants after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the Conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.
